Application and Properties

An acid dye is a type of dye which contains a soluble group such as a sulfonic acid group, a carboxyl group or a hydroxyl group in the molecular structure and needs to be dyed in an acidic or neutral dye bath.

Acid Yellow 36 is Yellow powder, soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether, benzene and ethylene glycol ether, slightly soluble in acetone. It is mainly used for coloring of soaps, wool dyeing in strong acid dyeing bath, and dye leather. When used for paper, it can give a good color yield. It can also be used to make lakes, coatings, wood products, biological dyeing, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
